Find the Happiness You Deserve

Anxiety and stress levels are reported to be higher now than they have been in recorded history. Any stresses you may have had prior to the COVID-19 outbreak have likely become magnified due to social distancing and home sheltering. Our Online Counseling service may help you better manage your anxiety and emotions during these stressful times.

Why Choose Online Counseling?

Whether you are a busy parent, a working professional with little time to spare, or you live in an area where access to mental health services is limited, making mental health a priority can be a challenge.

Thanks to advancements in the healthcare industry, combined with the availability of smart devices and computers, we are happy to offer “virtual therapy” services to the state of Texas and beyond.

Benefits of Online Counseling:

  • Get support from the comfort of your own home
  • Check-in with your therapist at the click of a button
  • Continue your therapy while you’re away on business or vacation
  • Find a time that works for both you and your therapist’s schedules
  • Connect via any smartphone, tablet or computer

Common Questions about Online Counseling

  • Will my insurance pay for online counseling?
We recommend you check with your provider for coverage or we can do that for you (just ask). Many insurance companies have recently added coverage for online counseling. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans and Whole Foods Insurance. We also offer sliding scales that range from $80-$165 per session (depends on the provider).
  • What do I need to start using Online Counseling?
At Just Mind, we use Google Meet for our Online Counseling sessions to ensure that your connection is HIPAA compliant, encrypted, and secure. To get started, you will need:

    • a Google account (Gmail, YouTube, etc). You can use a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS). If your laptop or desktop computer is older and slower, you may want to download the smartphone/tablet app and try that instead.
    • a high speed internet connection of at least 2MB (see internet connection note below).
    • Additionally, if your device does not have speakers or if you want more privacy, you can use headphones or earbuds.
  • What services do you offer for Online Counseling?
All of our counseling services are available through online counseling for ongoing therapy. You can also utilize Online Counseling for our Single Session Therapy.
  • Is the quality of care the same as an in-person visit?
The quality of Online Counseling as a method of mental healthcare delivery is confirmed by decades of research and demonstrations. Online Counseling has been found to be a safe, cost-effective and convenient way to provide mental healthcare services.
  • How does my internet connection affect Online Counseling?
Having a good internet connection is ideal to get the best benefit from Online Counseling. Ideally, you should be near your WiFi access point or be connected to your router or cable modem via an Ethernet cable (if you are on a computer). You should also try to reduce the amount of people on the internet during the time of your session so that you have a stable connection. Activities like watching Netflix or playing online video games can greatly affect your video quality depending on your connection.
