The Grounded Man Group: A Men’s Therapy Group in Austin

An ongoing men's therapy group at Just Mind's South Austin office. What you'll work on, what a session looks like, and how to ask about the next opening.

The Grounded Man Group is an ongoing, in-person therapy group for men at Just Mind Counseling’s South Austin (Westlake) office. It’s a place to talk honestly about relationships, purpose and what it means to be a man today, alongside other men working on the same things.

The group is running now and adds new members as spots open up. If you’re interested, reach out and ask about the next opening.

What You’ll Work On

  • Understanding who you are beyond the roles you’re expected to play
  • Building emotional awareness so stress, conflict and big decisions feel more manageable
  • How strength, vulnerability and connection fit together
  • Resolving conflict with integrity
  • Finding your purpose and living by what matters to you

What a Session Looks Like

Each session mixes conversation and practice. Discussions draw on psychology, neuroscience and philosophy. Exercises include guided reflection, role-plays and mindfulness. Over time the group becomes a place where men can be honest with each other and grow together.
