Therapists Who See San Marcos Clients
Not sure about who to pick? We can help!
How do we find the right therapist for you?
We know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. That’s why our team is here – to make it easier and more personal for you. We're with you until it clicks because getting it right matters more to us than getting you in the door."
Let’s Find Your Perfect Therapist Together
Tailored Therapist Match
Matching is done by people, not a sorting tool. Someone on our client care team learns what brought you in and whether you want video, in-person or a mix, then connects you with a therapist who fits.
Caring Support at Every Step
That matters more in San Marcos than you might think. Not every therapist keeps in-person hours at Westlake, so if face-to-face sessions are important to you, tell us up front and we’ll match with that in mind. If it still isn’t clicking after a few sessions, we’ll find you someone else.

Therapy that fits a San Marcos schedule
Video sessions fit between classes, a shift, or a commute from Kyle or New Braunfels. We schedule 7 days a week, with evening and weekend appointments.
If you’d rather be in the room, Westlake is the closer of our two offices: about 33 miles from San Marcos. Take I-35 north, go west on Ben White Boulevard (US 290/SH 71), then north on Loop 360 to Bee Caves Road. Plan on about 40 minutes with clear roads and longer when I-35 backs up. Many people keep most sessions online and ask whether their therapist also has Westlake hours for the occasional visit in person.
Video holds up well. A 2018 review of 12 studies found symptoms improved no less with video therapy than with face-to-face sessions (Norwood et al., Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy).
Texas State students and families
Texas State’s Counseling Center is a good first stop for students. It’s set up for brief work, averaging three to five sessions, and it refers students who need longer-term care to providers in the community. That’s often where we come in: one therapist you can keep seeing all year, from your apartment or a quiet room on campus.
Our ties to Texas State go back to the practice’s early days. Dr. Kevin Fall, now chair of Texas State’s Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education and School Psychology, consulted with Just Mind for more than five years. We’ve hired a number of Texas State graduates since. Abi Tesfaye, LPC, and Lindsay Schneeberger, LPC, both earned their counseling master’s degrees at Texas State and see clients at Westlake and online. Julie Osofsky, LPC, a Texas State graduate too, built intensive outpatient programs for young adults ages 18 to 24 earlier in her career.
If you’re from out of state, plan ahead for summer and winter break. Licensing follows where you are during the session (Texas BHEC), so a Texas therapist generally can’t meet with you while you’re home in another state. College students on a parent’s plan should check whether it’s one we take.
Our teen therapists see ages 12 to 18 with a parent involved, which helps San Marcos families with younger kids still at home.
What we help with
We see a lot of what comes with college and early adulthood: ADHD that suddenly shows up when structure disappears, anxiety about exams and what comes after, and depression. Our therapists also treat trauma and grief, and they work with couples. Each one holds a Texas license, so any of them can see you in San Marcos.
Transparent Pricing for Your Peace of Mind
Individual sessions are $145 to $215, couples $160 to $215, and sessions with our UT graduate interns are $75.

San Marcos Therapy FAQs
Can I see a therapist in person instead of online?
Yes. Our Westlake office in southwest Austin is the closest to San Marcos, about 33 miles away. Let us know you want in-person sessions so we match you with a therapist who has office hours there.
I’m a Texas State student. Can I see you instead of the campus counseling center?
You can use either one, or both at different times. The Counseling Center focuses on short-term care, so students often come to us when they want ongoing therapy with one consistent therapist, or evening and weekend times.
What happens over summer break if I go home to another state?
Your therapist generally can’t meet with you while you’re outside Texas. Talk with them before the semester ends about pausing, or about finding a therapist where you’ll be.
Does online therapy work as well as in-person?
For most concerns, yes. Many students find it easier to fit a video session into a packed week than to add a drive up I-35.
How soon could I start?
Most new clients have a first session within a few days. Call 512-843-7665 or fill out the form to get matched.
Do you work with teenagers?
Yes. Our teen therapists see ages 12 to 18, with a parent involved.
