Our Spicewood Springs, North Austin Counseling Location
Our office is tucked into the peaceful Spicewood Springs neighborhood, just off Mesa Drive and minutes from Loop 360 and Highway 183. We’re close to the communities of Northwest Hills, Great Hills, and Balcones Woods—making us easily accessible to North Austin residents and commuters.
Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to our building. Accessible parking spaces are also located near the entrance. If you need assistance entering the building, please let us know in advance—our team is happy to help.

Getting to our North Austin Office
We have two locations in the same building, a downstairs and upstairs suite (#1140 & #1230). Check your email to make sure which one you will be visiting for your appointments.
Important landmarks: We are on Spicewood less than a mile west of Mesa Dr. and right across from the Austin Board of Realtors building on Spicewood Springs Road.
Coming from Mopac
- Take MOPAC till Spicewood Springs Road and exit there turning onto Spicewood Springs Road.
- Pass through the light at Mesa Drive, and we are just under a half mile from that point across from the new Austin Board of Realtors building.
- Take a left into 4807 Spicewood Springs Road.
- You will see a sign that points our building is on the left.
- Park anywhere.
- When you enter the building, we will be on the first floor down the hallway to your right.
- We are the first door on your right
- Come in and have a seat. Your therapist will be out shortly.
Coming from 183
- Turn onto Spicewood Springs Road and go up the hill
- We will be on the right and turn into 4807 Spicewood Springs Road.
- You will see a sign that points our building is on the left.
- Park anywhere.
- When you enter the building, we will be on the first floor down the hallway to your right.

Can I cancel an appointment?
Yes, you can cancel an appointment. You just need to email or call your therapist. We suggest emailing them so it’s easier to plan for rescheduling. Their email is [email protected] (first name dot last name at Just Mind dot org).
Just a reminder but Just Mind Counseling does have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
What types of therapy do you offer?
We provide individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy sessions for both teens and adults.

Do you see children and teenagers?
Yes, we work with children from two years old and older, as well as adults of all ages. Kids younger than that can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
What issues do you specialize in?
Our therapists specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ issues, eating disorders, and more.

Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes, we have therapists specifically trained in couples and marital counseling, including pre-marital counseling.
Do you offer online/telehealth sessions?
Yes, we provide both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to clients throughout Texas. Our psychologists can provide services in all states where Psypact operates.
What are your office hours?
Our office is open from Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM to offer flexible scheduling including early morning, evening, and weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule.
Where is your North Austin location?
We’re conveniently located on Spicewood Springs Road in North Austin, with easy access and parking available.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, everything discussed in therapy is strictly confidential, with only a few legal exceptions which we’ll explain during your first visit. Exceptions to confidentiality include when there is child abuse, elder abuse, an attempt to harm oneself.
How do you match me with the right therapist?
Our intake team considers your preferences for therapist gender, age, specialties, clinical presentation, and therapeutic approach to find the best match. It’s not about getting butts in seats – it’s about finding the right fit therapist. We work really hard to try and make this process easy and seamless for clients.

What if I don't connect with my therapist?
Sometimes this happens but we follow up with all clients after their first session and a couple points down the line in their journey. We can easily match you with a different therapist and will listen to your feedback to make sure it’s a good fit with the next match.

What credentials do your therapists have?
All of our therapists are licensed mental health professionals with advanced degrees and specialized training in their areas of expertise. This varies from masters level to doctorate level.
How long does therapy take?
This varies greatly depending on your goals and situation. Some clients see improvement in 6-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term treatment.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
Most clients start with weekly sessions, then may transition to bi-weekly or monthly sessions as they progress.
Can someone else schedule therapy for me?
If the person is an adult then, the person receiving therapy must be the one to request services and will be our primary point of contact. If the person needing therapy is a minor, then their parent or guardian can make the appointment for them.
