How Therapy for Women Can Help

Therapy gives you room to slow down and figure out what you need, with someone whose only job in that hour is you. You’ll work on what’s in front of you, like the worry, the exhaustion or the strain at home, and you’ll check in together on what’s changing.

What Brings Women to Therapy

Running on empty

You keep the calendar, the house and the job going, and there’s nothing left over for you.

Anxiety that won't let up

Racing thoughts, a tight chest, or a constant feeling that you’re behind.

A season of change

A new baby, a breakup, an empty nest or perimenopause. Life shifts and you’re not sure where you fit.

Why Women Choose Just Mind

Many of our therapists are women, and they work every day with what women bring to therapy, from postpartum anxiety to body image to burnout. Sessions are warm, and they also go somewhere. You’ll leave with tools you can use between visits.

If the first match isn’t right, tell us. We’ll find someone who is.

What We Help Women With

Women come to us for all kinds of reasons. Some of the most common:

If it’s weighing on you, it’s worth talking about. You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to start.

Get Matched With a Therapist Who Fits

Tell our client care team what’s going on and what you’d like from therapy. A real person reads it, suggests a few therapists and explains why each one fits. Most new clients have a first appointment within a few days.

What Therapy Looks Like Here

Your first few sessions

The first session is a chance to tell your story at your own pace. Your therapist will ask what brought you in and what you’d like to feel different. Together you’ll set goals and decide how often to meet. Most people start weekly.

How we work

Our therapists use approaches with solid research behind them, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS and Somatic Experiencing. In plain terms, you’ll understand why you feel the way you do and learn what helps. Some women want a place to process. Others want practical tools. Most want some of both.

Not sure where to start? Our client care team can help you figure it out.

Cost and Insurance

Just Mind is in network with Aetna, Curative, EHN, Harbor Health, Nomi Health and Sana. Self-pay sessions run $145 to $215 depending on the therapist, and we can give you a superbill if you want to use out-of-network benefits. See rates and insurance for details.

Online or In Person, Your Call

Every therapist here offers online sessions anywhere in Texas. Many also see clients at our North Austin and South Austin offices, with evening and weekend times.

Hard to get away?

Online sessions fit around naps, school pickup and work calls. All you need is a quiet spot and a phone or laptop. Learn more about online therapy.
