Phil Rogers, LMFT Associate
(He/They) |
Counselor:
Adults, Couples
Phil fosters genuine connection and support by believing his clients are the experts in their own lives. Humor, openness, and curiosity are at the forefront of his exploration of what his clients need to live their lives in the ways that feel right to them. His goal is to see you, and to help you see yourself, as clearly as possible in the web of relationships, joys, and responsibilities that make up your life. Phil uses colorful language, metaphor, and somatic approaches to explore the deeper root causes of issues in order to provide long term benefit to his clients by helping them identify their core values and sources of struggle in their lives.
In his work with couples, Phil focuses on issues surrounding sex, communication, and fostering sustainable connection. He has particular experience working from a sex-positive, nonjudgmental position with clients who are practitioners of or curious about kink and BDSM. Phil is also passionate about working with ADHD clients who are trying to figure out what role this diagnosis plays in their lives.
As a member of the queer community, Phil is committed to providing affirming care for individuals regardless of how they identify, who they want to love if anyone, or whether they are not sure what the answers to those questions might be. Phil also has experience with members of the Asian American community, and is committed to providing a space where cultural and spiritual backgrounds of all kinds can be treated with reverence and respect that matches what his clients feel.
