Myya’s approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate, rooted in a multicultural and culturally responsive framework. Myya will honor your unique experiences and context, and is dedicated to helping you achieve your mental health and wellness goals. She seeks to work together with clients to create a space where clients feel empowered to explore, heal, and grow. Myya’s focus is supporting adults of all ages navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, relationship concerns, identity exploration, ADHD, and life transitions. She has worked in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, hospitals, and private practice.
Myya uses an integrative and person-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing humility. She prioritizes understanding each client’s unique experiences, working collaboratively to define wellness and set achievable goals. By blending techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), self-compassion, and mindfulness, she tailors her methods to meet the diverse needs of those she works with.
