If you are looking at part-time psychologist jobs in Austin, this one is built around a smaller caseload on purpose. Just Mind Counseling is hiring a licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to see 10 to 15 clients a week at our North Austin or South Austin office. Preference goes to applicants who are fully licensed and have experience in psychological assessments, couples therapy, child and adolescent therapy, neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism), or trauma and EMDR.

Who takes part-time psychologist jobs in Austin?

Some of our part-time clinicians teach or work inside a hospital system and want clinical hours that stay steady. Some are building toward a full caseload and would rather not jump all at once. Others have kids at home and need the schedule to bend around school pickup.

All of that works here. What we ask is that the hours you commit to stay predictable for clients. Consistency is what keeps a smaller caseload viable for everyone involved, including you.

The caseload

Hours and schedule are negotiable, but you should be willing to see 10 to 15 clients per week, including some weekend or evening hours. You can build a hybrid schedule. In-person demand is highest right now, so plan on most of your sessions being onsite.

Want a bigger caseload? Our full-time psychologist opening runs 20 or more clients a week and adds health insurance.

Pay and support

This is a W2 employee position with a commission-based pay structure, set as a percentage of billed services. Part-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan with matching and an annual training stipend.

Here is what we handle so you do not have to:

  • Marketing and the referral pipeline
  • Scheduling and client intake
  • Third-party billing and claims follow-up
  • Office space, front desk, and overhead
  • Peer consultation and continuing education
  • In-house EMDR consultation, plus paid EMDR training in exchange for service

What we look for

Our strongest hires are dedicated to ongoing growth and learning, open to working with diverse client populations, and clear about where they specialize. We look for clinicians committed to inclusive, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.

If testing is your strength, we have steady referral volume for psychological assessment. If you are trauma-trained, our EMDR therapy work keeps growing.

An active Texas license through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists is required.
