Why Therapy?

I’ve always been drawn to people and value connection. Becoming a social worker and therapist allowed me to hear and validate others. I am an introspective and reflective person myself, and through my own healing journey, I’ve learned that feeling emotions deeply is a strength. I realized I wanted to show that compassion to others and empower them to find resiliency within themselves.

Professional Motivation

I feel honored listening to people’s stories and learning how and what made them who they are. I believe in the innate goodness in people and recognize there is a reason why they struggle. I enjoy providing insights and skills to my clients for them to thrive and heal.

Education

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work from Chapman University. Master in Social Work from Seattle University.

Hobbies

I love to spend time with my partner and friends, discover new restaurants, and travel to new places. I also enjoy working out in the gym and dancing salsa!

Previous Occupations

I’ve worked in community mental health as a child and family clinician, provided therapy in schools and group settings, and worked with infants and toddlers at a therapeutic trauma center.
