Why Therapy?

From childhood, I have found that people approach me for support, empathy, and a safe place to process. My goal in the counseling relationship is to speak the truth and ensure that clients feel safe, supported, and nudged to create and realize their authentic selves.

Professional Motivation

I am motivated by traveling alongside a person, couple, or family as they develop new ways of interacting with others or a fresh understanding of self. It is an honor to walk with others through their journey.

Education

B.A. in Psychology from University of Texas, M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Texas State University with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy

Hobbies

I enjoy spending time with my family, spoiling our rescue pup, live music, seeking out new comedians (I love to laugh!), traveling, and singing at the top of my lungs in my Prius.

Previous Occupations

Most of my work life has been in the public school setting serving families from elementary to high school. My roles have included school counselor, crisis counselor, school-based therapist, behavior specialist, and special education teacher.
