Why Therapy?

My life has always been oriented towards how people find meaning. Both of my parents are mental health professionals, and so I grew up with a natural curiosity for people from all walks of life. Becoming a therapist has given me the opportunity to be both present in humanities suffering and a catalyst for individuals to find healing and create meaning and value in their lives.

Professional Motivation

I love seeing people embrace the mystery of life fully, with both its pain and joy.

Education

I originally got my bachelors at Hendrix College (I was a religious studies major). I went to graduate school for social work at The University of Texas at Austin.

Hobbies

I generally love to surround myself with creatives on my off hours. I collect records, watch films, and play video games when I am at home. I love to also ride my bike, swim, and catch live shows as much as possible.

Previous Occupations

Before I joined Just Mind, I worked in community mental health. I have also been front desk staff at shelters for the unhoused, and have worked in retail jobs before.
