Patty Joy Monical is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and PhD candidate in Counseling with over 13 years of counseling experience and a lifetime of learning about what makes relationships work.
Patty is passionate about coaching parents to utilize the principles of play therapy at home so they can strengthen the parent-child relationship & THRIVE. Patty also works with couples using the Gottman Method, a research-based model that is highly successful in strengthening committed relationships. People who work with Patty report less chaos and conflict and more peace and joy in their marriages and families as a result.
Patty uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with adults to let go of past hurts and move forward with confidence, resourcefulness and resilience. At the core of Patty’s philosophy is the belief that we all carry stories that can benefit from a little editing and rewriting so we can embrace life with love and zest!
