Lindsay Schneeberger, LPC
(She/Her) |
Counselor:
Adults
Lindsay is a collaborative therapist who supports people in untangling the stress, expectations, and inner criticism that get in the way of feeling like themselves. Her approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and attachment theory, with an emphasis on self-compassion and meaningful, sustainable change. She also likes to laugh with her clients and tends to use a lot of metaphors.
She works with humans managing anxiety, self-doubt, grief and loss, relationship and dating ups and downs, healing from the aftershocks of disordered eating, and moving past body shame. She incorporates principles of Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and Body Trust in her work. Lindsay also loves being a helper to:
-
The gold-star chasing perfectionists who feel like they want more out of life even if they’re not quite sure what that is
-
The exhausted people-pleasers (you know, the ones saying “it’s totally fine!” when it’s very much not fine)
-
HSPs (Highly Sensitive People)
-
Those who put a lot of pressure on themselves to be liked, to be good enough, to make the right decision
-
People trying to figure out who they are and want to be, not just who they were told to be
You might feel at home in therapy with Lindsay if you’re looking for more self-trust and less self-criticism, trying to keep everyone else happy, or feeling like you have to earn your rest. She might also be a good fit for you if you’re beginning to peel back the layered ways you relate to food, your body, and how you see yourself. Or, if you just need a space where you don’t have to hold it all together for once. People describe Lindsay as warm and kind, but also real and grounded.
