Teri Schroeder, LCSW
Teri is a licensed clinical social worker with 15+ years of experience providing counseling and therapeutic services to adults and teenagers. She spent 10 years working in non-profit agencies and schools before transitioning to private work. She strives to empower clients to find their own inner strengths and overcome obstacles in life, particularly in healing from trauma. Her focus includes adult/childhood trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, teen/adolescent issues, family-of-origin issues, LGBTQ issues, and self-esteem difficulties. Teri believes every person has the capacity for growth and change, and she helps clients find greater balance, personal insight, and resiliency. Her style is empathic and collaborative, and she is a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) Consultant-in-Training. She uses EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy, somatic techniques, mindfulness, and expressive arts in her work.
