Reminders about Single Session Therapy
- Please note that scheduling single session therapy is for ONE session only, and it is NOT the same as scheduling a 1st appointment with a counselor for ongoing therapy. If you prefer ongoing therapy, please let your scheduling coordinator know immediately.
- Additionally, while you will always be invited to contact us after a single session to request another session or to request ongoing counseling, we cannot guarantee the availability of any specific counselors.
- While single session therapy is in no way a substitute for ongoing counseling work, research has shown that one session of therapy can give many people what they need. Therefore, you might find that a single session of therapy is enough for no and there will be no commitment or obligation to return.
- Single Session Therapy is not recommended for chronic mental health problems, prolonged self-exploration, or persistent/habitual issue. It is not a substitute for ongoing therapy or a quick fix for bigger issues.
