Areas of Specialty
I have a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology at the University of Houston. I have a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education and Master of Science in Counseling at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
I became a therapist because it feels good to help others help themselves and to live with more intention. As a therapist, I have a career that keeps me accountable to living my best life. In helping others establish insight of their strengths and vulnerabilities, I too am reminded often to embrace my life more regardless of the ups and downs and to enjoy the moment as best I can.
I love being depended on to be a resource and support for individuals and couples to figure out ways to meet their life goals. I love being able to share my knowledge and skills I’ve learned in my training for improvement in relationships with the individual self and with others.
Watching or participating in any sport, being a foodie and frequenting new restaurants, as well as spending time with my wife and toddler, or taking my dog for walks at any nearby trail in Austin.
I’ve held jobs in the school system (counseling grade school youth and providing early childhood intervention home visits) , health care system (inpatient/outpatient settings involving physical therapy and mental health), juvenile detention system (counseling at the local county and state level), non-profit system (family case manager), as well as therapy work at the private practice level. Prior to my counseling work- I worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry and was a licensed massage therapist and infant massage instructor.
