Her focus includes adult/childhood trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, family-of-origin issues, and self-esteem difficulties.
Her reputation as a therapist is one of being open, courageous in dialogue, curious, and respectful of each individual. Her style is empathic and collaborative. She enjoys working with the gifted, creative, and sensitive person.
She uses a mixture of counseling theories to fit the needs of each particular client, including mindfulness, EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. She is Certified in EMDR in order to help clients naturally process traumas.
She has completed Level One of Gottman training for couples counseling and enjoys helping committed couples to learn to communicate better in order to thrive. She strives to create a non-judgmental environment for clients and enjoys incorporating a person’s spirituality in session.
